Exactly. It isn't like it is impenetrable.

 

Which is why his missile shield offer to Syria is utter garbage, but likely to win points in the ME.

 

Russia can do no wrong in the ME so long as they play the heel to the US.

 

They can offer a shield that is proven worthless and be called on a bluff that blows up. They know this isn't going to blow up.

I typically wouldn't give money to people that don't like me, but would give without expectation of a return.

Politics is a different beast, but it might be that they got money just because they showed some level of interest.

Tell you what, Iran is trolling so hard right now...

 

This idea gets more palatable as Iran and Russia get more openly invested. Drawing either into a fight or proxy fight make the strategic battle of some limited value.

Here's something I don't get about the "elite" Quds Force in Iran: if they're so elite, why did their operative that tried to assassinate an Israeli ambassador in New York a year or so ago basically shoot himself in the foot trying to carry out his mission?

 

Who do you leave? Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia?
