Good Lord, you people with that long of a list of unwatched movies read too damn much!

 

You really need to see the first 2 Godfathers, Citizen Kane, Casablanca, and either Vertigo or Rear Window. There are a lot of other items on your list that are really good, but those may be the 6 greatest movies ever made. They really are worth your time.

 

Apparently, the first thing you need to do is buy a TV. Just, damn.

And, don't listen to the people who say Godfather 1&2 are overrated.

Godfather 3 is junk, IMO but the first 2 are in my top 5. 'Goodfellas' and 'Donnie Brasco' are way up on my list as well. Donnie Brasco was an awesome movie that no one ever talks about.

 

3 is underrated. some good scenes. 90% of goodfellas is spectacular, the other 10% gets a little ridiculous. Donnie brasco is good, but certainly not anything I'd kill myself for not seeing.

Dr. Strangelove is right up there with it. Greatest satirical movie of all time.

 

I've watched Casablanca. bored me to tears. if that's the greatest movie ever made we are in deep trouble as a society.

Dexter and Star Trek are terrible. Mad Men is boring as shit and Sopranos is a stereotypical gangster movie drawn out over 6 seasons.

 

unforgiven is as close to what the real west was like as you're going to get.
