Yadda yadda taxes, weather, etc. Boss lady is a high octane PA, vascular surgery etc, and has a foot in on +/- 150k positions in both Knoxville and Nashville, I'm a blue collar type, as most of you know, generally utility and site work. Being selfish, Nashville has hockey, while Knoxville has UT and closer fly fishing for trout. Nashville is also much more convenient to get back to NY/Boston on a whim. Thoughts?
I would not. Knoxville traffic is absurd for a city of 200k. My commute was much smoother when I was living in Nashville.
Yes if you live west especially. But if you live east or north of town traffic is a breeze. Of course you're further away from stuff too.
I've lived in Nashville for 6 years and it has grown on me. People will tell you to live in the suburbs, particularly Brentwood and Franklin, but living in the city, to me, is much better. The city has a lot to do and I'm discovering a lot of new little details all the time.
