Although, go the Obamacare route, and then mandate that all weapons to be legally owned are required to have the system.

Of course, pre 1900 would be an exception.

The DoD, HomeLand mandate is for those groups, brotha.

They're looking at imementing a "this gun can't fire until central authority pushes button" system for military and LEO.

The tech isn't there yet, and it won't be for, probably ever, but you could do an electric override where if you hold the trigger down for a second, you override their override. Or some garbage.

The whole smart tech is dumb, though.

    Requesting permission to fire?

    Insane.

I think the idea would more so be that someone is monitoring your patrol at all times, so they know you're in it as soon as you do.

The goal is to reduce negligent discharges. Which you can do just by requiring an electronic trigger that you have to depress for a period of time in order to "unlock" the gun, and then all follow on shots would be instant.

But however they do it, it is stupid as hell.

When in a situation when needing to fire a gun, one second is big.

I can't read that, so I'm just gonna assume it says "swell guy." Thanks!

You've spent so much time asking "can I do it," you forgot to ask "should I do it?"
