there are two claims about the immigration system being "broken' 1. That not enough people are being allowed to immigrate to the US legally 2. That too many people are in the US illegally So Obama is going to fix this by allowing more illegal's to stay in the US by not enforcing laws. But he has fixed neither problem since the illegal’s are still illegal and by not enforcing the law the US he will encourage more illegal’s to come to the US
My only regret is not going in dry on this stuff a long time ago. Trying to compromise with fanatics is a waste of time.
I'm actually pretty much ok with fairly lax immigration/guest worker programs as long as it is done is some type of a systematic way. Now, I get not everyone is like this. But I just hate how this is going to be handled.
A drivers licence will be issued to the illegal immigrants, and that is only requirement to register to vote. Unless the states have the resources to check the immigrant data base, they will take the opportunity to say thanks at the voting booth.
I have no issue with open immigration. I do think our social welfare programs should be redone first though.
I want immigration they raise the economy as they climb up the ladder, however with our broken welfare system that is an issue.
take away citizenship for kids born here and the welfare abuse will drop like a rock. still doesn't stop the problem of allowing illegals to use our schools and hospitals though.
there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that we already have way too large of a supply of low wage workers in this country.
