Frankly, when we lose, and I firmly believe we will, I will welcome the light that will shine on Jones' idiocy and the wakening of our idiotic fan base. Only those constitutionally incapable of seeing it will still back this hack con artist car salesman.

 

I get not liking a coach, as I'm certainly not a fan, but I don't get actively hoping, rooting, expecting, wanting or anything similar to happen to my team just to expose a coach to an idiot section of a fanbase. Sorry,.

And I never said I hope they lose. I hope we win, and I hope we steam roll them back to Blacksburg with a Big Orange Boot shoved up their rear ends.

I don't see it happening.

 

We are either about to kick their rear ends all the way up 81 to Blacksburg or lose in spectacular fashion, and I have no idea which.

 

Then why bother? Help me understand.

 

Why bother with what? Watching the game? Because they might win. They are my team, thick or thin. On an emotional level I love the school and wish them the best possible and, ultimately, when the game is kicked off, I believe we will win.

But today, intellectually, I think we will lose. And when (if) we do, the benefit of it will be, hopefully, that it will awaken the fan base, put a metric ton more pressure on Jones' to succeed and hopefully start the train to getting him out of town.

It gets complicated when the idiot section of the fanbase includes much of the administration and boosters. Gotta rip off the band-aid. Not there yet, but I probably will be if we lose to VT or Florida (or Ohio, who came closer to beating App State in regulation in their bowl game last year than we did).
