I had a prostate biopsy a couple of weeks ago. I would not wish that on my worst enemy.

 

It’s God’s time zone.

Winter time in central time zone was so damn depressing.

4:30 and dark as hell.

 

I grew up in Crossville. Central but far eastern central. I used to leave school in the dark (after school clubs, but still)

 

If you want to see wild in the summer - head to the Lake Michigan coast in northern Michigan in the summer. Between eastern time zone, being far west relatively speaking, and being far north - it’s light until 10:30.

Yeah I learned to never take evening classes at Tech.

I always hated getting out of class and it being dark.

When I went to Paris it was like that. 10pm and it was like it was 6:30 outside. Threw me off bad.

Saw Arlington and the changing of the guard,Lincoln memorial and the Vietnam Wall. Mr. Curtin, out scout master had me balling pointing to his friends name that he saw killed in front of him. He had been wounded three times before and thus had his discharge coming in a few days but was caught in a fire fight. Someone else was wounded and he left the safety of his crater hole and went to save him and was shot and killed.

I was, unabashedly and without shame, crying my eyes out.

Now on to Mount Vernon. Been a great trip with 15 scouts (including my two two sons). Wouldn't miss it for the world.
