Does coach matter? Anyone want to argue that Tony Dungy or John Fox are in the same league as Bellichek or Walsh?
you don't see the self fulfilling nature of this criticism? If losing to the Ravens at home while heavily favored is choking then it is for ANY QB. The loss either constitutes a choke or it doesn't.
Manning is so good that any loss constitutes a choke, because he should win every game, therefore, he sucks.
yes it's a choke, but I'm suggesting that the pattern matters when it comes to the difference in criticism and frankly I don't see a whole lot of manning criticism out there anyway.
He isn't getting that much criticism because he seldom loses. When he does, it's often blamed on him.
as a QB Bradshaw is well regarded? Please. He's a meathead who played on the best defensive teams ever. You mention Favre's losing, but he made the NFC title game multiple times against the last truly great team in football. Favre could have been anyone and was still going to lose to those Cowboys and Niners.
He gets a lot of credit for merely being the QB on those teams. When was I being derogatory towards Favre? I was saying he was better than AR.

I'm curious as to why the best QBs of all time have ever come home without super bowl wins. Why has tom brady utterly sucked in the playoffs for the past ten years? Makes no sense that the best QB would ever, ever lose.
