The only time I've ever had a Xbox was for the VN NCAA Dynasty. Other than that, it's always been a PS.

Yes. I need ES and Fallout. Plus I’m excited to see how their space game, Starfield, turns out.

Do lots of roll dodges and learn to parry/riposte.

Know that there are going to be some things that you just aren't ready to beat yet (the red eyed knight at the end of the tower bridge early on is one)

Read all of the player messages on the ground, most are at least somewhat helpful.

Also, I'm not sure what class you started with, but I started as royalty for the early magic availability to give me some distance attacks

It's pretty unforgiving at times, but it makes me feel accomplished when I get something done.

Also, make sure you search for the Cling Ring in Gates of Boletaria, it helps immensely early on

If I buy my son a PS4 copy of Miles Morales, does it include an upgrade to the PS5 version?

Went to eject rocket league from the Xbox One X today and got a loud grinding sound. The Xbox no longer recognized the disc (I tried starting the game, and it told me to insert the disc). I unplugged and tried to manually eject. No luck.

12 days after the new console is released, and my two year old, top of the line model from the previous gen just suddenly breaks. Coincidence? I had literally just played it the night before for hours. And it’s not like I move the console or do anything with it. It just sits there on the TV stand.

Microsoft wasn’t helpful at all. They can fix it if I send it in but will charge me because it’s outside the warranty. No quoted price on replacing the disc drive - just a note that it can be up to $250 if they have to replace the console. Kinda blows my mind that the weren’t more helpful or supportive, knowing that next gen consoles were just released and people will be upgrading.

In other words, if/when I upgrade, I probably won’t be goi g with Xbox.

I don't understand why you would want a disc with Xbox One. Is there a point?

I started as a Knight, for no particular reason and having no idea what I was doing. Started a new save last night as Royalty and it almost feels like a cheat code. I blew through the Gates of Boleteria in one go.

I'm probably going to try another class tonight to try find one that feels like a good balance.

Obviously Microsoft remotely damaged your hardware

I've owned it since it came out. Luckily, I was able to download the digital version for free, so I can still play it.

the disc drives are very low quality in xbox consoles since gen 2. they often don't last much beyond warranty if they are the primary way games are played and get a lot of use. In general, consoles of the last 15 years are not designed to last the same way older consoles with no internal hard drives or disk drives did. the tech is just not going to hold up.

So I should buy a PC?

I built a PC in 2011 that I still use. in that time, I upgraded the graphics card once, added ram once, replaced the power supply once when it went bad, and the disk drive has stop working but I literally never use it. all told, in 9 years it has cost 1400 dollars to build and replace parts. it is now getting to the point that I need to replace it to run the latest stuff.

So a console is still a better value if all you do is play games, but it is closer than you think. I also pay a lot less for games via more competition, than typically you do with consoles.

If you buy a new console every 5 years, it may be about even in cost with a lot better performance to go PC.

Plus, the porn on PC is way better than consoles.

Do you play on a smaller monitor at a desk? Or on a larger TV in a couch/living room type setting?

    3 27" 1440p monitors.

I have 2 monitors, large and one small, right now. I used to play on a large tv. it makes no difference. I could switch between or use all 3 at once at a whim.
