I believe that the some of the fraud charges on which he was convicted stemmed from things that happened up to and within his time as campaign manager in 2016, however there is a whole nother set in NY so it's entirely possible I'm mixing them up

Assuming that the Cohen admission is the only thing that comes out of the investigation that implicates Trump. The possible legal ramifications, as I understand, would be fascinating to watch.

1) Can a sitting President be charged now or would they have to wait until he is out of office. If he could be charged after office would anyone charge an ex-President for breaking a campaign Finance Law 4 or 8 years previous.

2) Can a President be impeached for something he did before he was President

3) If 1 or 2 go to the Supreme Court, what will this Court rule.

Of course all could have been avoided had he simply kept his [penis] in his pants and stayed true to his wife.

I fear it is going to get way uglier than just campaign finance fraud.

His taxes still haven't been released. The investigation hasn't gotten to the russia-implicating items yet.

I would have to believe a President can be impeached for things done before he was President, especially if they were directly tied to him becoming President.
