    Is that something new?

Very much so. Most people establish a "truth" even if false, and stick with it, as fixed. (Even if a lie).

The Trump White House has "truth" as ever changing. Usually Trump starts very false and moves toward truth as new information comes to light.

Can you believe all the stupid people that believe him?

    Believe him about what?

Do you believe Trump lies, ever? Ok. Then why do you believe he isn't lying here?

I'm fine with those that say "every politician lies," because everybody lies.

Where we get in to contention is determining when it is a lie, and when it is a truth.

Does this seem like something Trump would lie about? Yes.

Does this seem like something any politician would lie about? Yes.

Are people saying he did the things he is accused of saying he didn't? Yes.

So I have a motive, I have an opportunity, and I have evidence.

Why would I conclude he isn't lying? Because he's a beacon of trust?

    Evidence?

Testimony to Congress, and apparently something Bolton says.

Seems credible. I will quit listening to the Whitehouse legal team now.

I have no doubt that there are a great many people that will believe the legal team (who wasn't present for any of this), versus people that said they were present for very specific parts.

You mean the people without any fact evidence and the people that said they assumed Trump was tying the aid to the Biden investigation?

    What is fact evidence?

Let me be clear, I think Trump is very stupid. Legit dumb. But a worse communicator. He probably wasn't trying to do these things.

But he is still captain of the ship. And if the folks driving the ship think they want him to beach the ship, and he thinks they're headed out to sea... he is still captain of the ship. A beached ship is still on the captain.

I don't think Trump is politically savvy. The problem is that he pretends he is, and has fired everyone that tried to point out he wasn't.

    That is also on him.

See, assumption are stupid when trying to make a case. Thanks for making that obvious.

he hasn't been in politics so playing the "political savvy" game is something you wouldn't expect him to be as good at, as someone like Pelosi who has been "savvy" for a long time in a corrupt industry.
Too call him dumb however is dumb in and of itself.
