Trump ran on a non-interventionist of sorts policy. I think middle America was already tired of war before this current one that is starting...just think where they will be 3.5 years from now. I think they (middle America) would be more receptive than you think.

He ran on "building up" the military "again." Anyone who thought a macho egotistical guy bragging about how strong the military was going to be wasn't going to be using it or fueling the military-industrial complex was simply not thinking. Syria and north Korea now, Iran looms. It remains to be seen how cavalier he is to try and bully the big boys, or how they will respond.

 

I'm interested to see Xi's response to his recent talks with Trump, over the long haul, and particularly as it relates to NK.
