Ya, I'm getting shithoused by juvenile name-calling. You're better than that.

How was I silenced when Cotton went on his "bigot" tirade, allegedly aping what I "do?" Shouldn't I have been silenced? Isn't that what I do, silence people?

I don't understand why someone would feel so uncomfortable with a trans as to pass a law that only affects them. Seems like feeling uncomfortable with any other minority. By me having this position, I have silenced people? Haha, okay.

ummm passing the act in the first place isn't moving left? saying it's not as left as it could be doesn't mean it's a right initiative.

Cotton is speaking to more than your position on any singular / group of issues, but to your entire approach to the issues themselves, and more importantly, toward anyone who disagrees with - or believes any differently, at all - your beliefs and opinions.

Teddy and FDR were horrible domestic policy presidents.

Eisenhower had the interstate system for national defense and a true general welfare of the country

JFK was a supply side economic guy and no where near a national socialist.

Back to the bigot argument, this time as armor. My mother doesn't want to have to use the same public bathroom in the airport as men. Why do you think that is?

You are right; men and women using separate bathrooms is new, revolutionary, bigoted. Socialism, however, has been the standard in this country since Teddy Roosevelt.

I'll stick by my guns; you are either not being honset with your argument or you are not smart enough to make it, so you hide behind labels or false constructs.

I've known him my entire life. He graduated Annapolis a year ahead of my dad. They served in Vietnam together and have been lifelong friends. He's a really good dude, would be a damn good POTUS.

Uh, no, I'm not explaining it away, that's what you want to hear. I, specifically, pointed to a poll that was wildly in favor of Clinton and discounted it, yet that didn't register in your comments. Perhaps, you are just attuned to hear anything through your pro-Trump lens that you can't hear what I'm saying?

The point I made is the same, the aggregate is the key with some common sense. A Clinton 13 point lead in Florida isn't sensible, a sentiment which would suggest, to me, that I realize that every poll favoring the Democrat isn't 100% factual. Those three that I mentioned, though, do, in fact, have long issues with a Republican bias, most often because they think that Democrats are overrepresented in a lot of polls and rely to much on landline polling. There are some Democrat leaning polls, but they seem to be more localized and not among the mainstream.

Now, the polling did have some issues in 2014 with Democrat leaning polls, but anyone with an understanding of election cycles should have seen the off-cycle elections favor Republicans and general election numbers don't hold then.

I'm too biased or not intelligent enough to understand which polls are more consequential than others.

    Got it.

Are all nine of you listed for Independent / 3rd Party / Write-in going to vote for Jim Webb?

    If not Webb, then who?

I said third party but there's a decent chance I don't vote. If I do it will be for Webb.

i'm more inclined to abstain from the presidential election that vote for a 3rd party. in the end I guess it doesn't matter.

Might as well try to get that third party vote total up a bit. Maybe eventually people will notice and consider it a viable option.

I guess that's what my recent post was referencing - who this third party candidate is supposed / hoped to be.

Wait, you accuse me of being biased and then whine when I suggest that you are? And, nowhere did I suggest that you weren't intelligent enough to understand, so stop that, too.
