Fairly certain he's hanging on by a thread at this point, on and off the field.

Jordan Murphy is another one that's supposedly not been doing what the coaches ask.

Side note - I really liked the play design of the first TD. Like the TE up in the back field, but him through the middle, fake, wide open.

Wish I’d put $20 in the touchdown pool on Carlin Fils-Aime

    Let's talk targeting shall we?

Officiating in the SEC is just bad. I don’t even know what the rule actually says targeting is but I know they damn sure have not applied it consistently.

Leading with the helmet and hitting the helmet is Targeting 101.

Announcers never even hinted at it IIRC

    Led with helmet.

Hit opposing player in helmet area.

    Am I missing something?

I thought same thing. Looks pretty clear cut.

I remember a few different hits that seemed like pretty clear targeting but didnt even get reviewed. Not sure I want every drive to have a targeting call, but if you're gonna emphasize the rule, you sure as hell can't miss that one.

It was a terribly missed call to say the very least.

I counted 3 times were targeting or a hit out of bounds was just ignored.

What was the situation there? How did that drive end up?

And if you look at that, even from behind, that ref should have had a really good view of the black helmet smacking the white one. I'm sure he was probably focused on Chandler's feet and the sideline, but you can't miss stuff like that. Especially when there is supposed to be a review for targeting.

Chandler left for awhile. Wonder if it was after that.

A few weeks ago I watched a player get ejected for targeting. The next week he was suspended for the first half and his backup laid a hit that seemed to most reasonable people to be more egregious than the hit that took place the week before. The second was ruled targeting in the field. And then it was reversed. That never happens.

Put simply, officiating in college football is so bad that it’s hard to understand how it even happens without questioning the integrity of the system.
