I’m kind of in shock they did it. Absolutely disgusting. Anybody that could watch this and get all high and mighty when people question games where Alabama seems to get insanely favorable calls that help them win is an idiot. Money has compromised the sport.

I don’t know why people are shocked for various reasons and major one being it’s been known a big injury plays a factor. It’s in the bylaws from day 1 of CFP.

Getting there with that logic requires serious mental gymnastics and ignoring other criteria. Not to mention that “4 best”, whatever that means, hasn’t really ever been the criteria before no matter what they say. They went against how it’s always been done to let Bama in, period.

Exactly, there will be the same controversy and platitudes about most deserving/best team when we eventually get to 32 teams. The same controversies will apply whether it’s 2 or 32 teams. The bowls don’t give a shit about anything but money. The ACC are the poors of college football, if FSU doesn’t like that, they better dip this summer.

This committee neither got the most deserving or the best 4.

Most deserving would have included FSU. Best would have included Georgia.

This was just about catering to Saban, the SEC, and the financial interest of the networks.

lol if we’re saying injuries matter, why are they still ahead of Georgia? They’d beat Ohio State with a backup too? They don’t have criteria, they have money to make.

If we're doing the eye test, I want to retroactively vacate Ohio State's 2002 title immediately.

And the eye test only is applied to the offensive side of the ball.

What happens if FSU beats UGA?

Would be a big upset. I expect line to be somewhere around -14 Ga.

I asked that before the bowls were announced. It would invalidate the entire rationale. Imagine if Bama and fsu win out. How can anyone deny a shared title? Or maybe even fsu outright?

AP should award FSU a title if they beat UGA

I suspect Bowers and numerous NFL Draftees opt out for UGA.

honestly won’t mean much imo. Bowl results can be wonky. Motivation matters. Opt outs will matter. The damage is done

Get ready for the same media people who said it should be Bama to now flip around say FSU got screwed.
