This is an interesting and I think fair article on a section of border wall. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/feat...k&utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_content
I read something like the investigation was "for civil crimes," but boy it sure doesn't sound like merely "civil crimes" findings.
POTUS to address the Cuomo probe tonight. Biden is already having a tough week, interesting to see what he does here.
If he comes out doing anything less than calling for him to resign, to me it is a big disappointment. And ya, Dems have been quite inept lately and seem to be content to get pushed around waiting for the other sides' better angels to prevail. Without voter protection action, they won't be in this position again for a long time and will have plenty of time to think about it.
Ya, he is exposing himself as being what he is accused of. Get a load of this BS: As if that is anything like him kissing women.
Biden says he should resign. I'm not sure if that is enough to move the NY political machinery, but it is the reasonable conclusion unless we want to give up any pretense of not having nobility and kings.
The eviction moratorium expiring was silly. Dems knew when it was ending and needed action for a long time. Also the COVID relief money for landlords has apparently been mismanaged, they sent it to states months ago and many have just sat on the money and even in the places they have distributed it many landlords prefer to opt out so they can evict and raise rents. Just a predictable, slow motion car crash looming over the expiry and no one thought "maybe we should get this stuff sorted out" although without Delta surging I dont think you see any action on it anyway. Throwing people out after we "beat" COVID was always the play, but throwing them out during a surge is not a good look
It's theater. They knew it was coming, were bribed by the real estate lobby to let it, and then fell all over themselves pointing every which direction when it expired.
