Couple of my good friends went to ISU. It's been awhile since I have been that way but I always enjoyed visiting my buddies when they were in college there.
I'm located closer to the Kentucky boarder but I know the area you are talking about well. Noblesville, Zionsville and Carmel are around that area and are real nice places to live. I have family from the Carmel area.
I know, that barely covers raw material cost. It takes him about 30 hours to build and paint/stain one from scratch. The tables themselves are pretty simple, just takes time. There's a reason those tables aren't cheap.
Indiana it my home away from home. I love the state almost as much as I love East Tennessee, minus Purdue. They can get bent. And Notre Dame. They can get bent too.
West Lafayette smells like shit. And South Bend, nobody should go to South Bend. Bloomington got all the good looks.
Came close to moving to Evansville last year. Then late in the year decided between Indy (Zionsville) and Houston. Decided on role in Houston.
I liked Indiana, specially the southern part. Reminded me of E. Tenn., more the people than the geography. Bloomington was a great place, but Terrra Haute was a shit hole that smelled like one. It's only redeeming feature was "The Action Track" where there was some of the best Sprint Car racing I ever saw.
This is something I would like to look into, might have a better chance of getting past the boss with beekeeping than falconry.
