SDS: "Will Jones win a championship at UT?"

Other than winning quasi titles in the MAC and Big East, he's done little. I am on board. I am not blind. You can't scratch out shared champs with shitty teams in the SEC.

 

Yet, he keeps playing those guys and couldn't recruit over Worley. Yeah, I'm all in.

 

At least Jones is collecting enough talent that we won't have to listen to this level of dumbassery making excuses for him like was done with Doofus until the end. Well, maybe not, dumbassery reigns too often around these parts. No doubt it will be someone else's fault.

 

That's what the 'wait and see' crowd still don't get. If after 18 months your OC still hasn't developed a QB and is still starting the least talented of the three, you've got major major problems with who you've brought in.

 

I just want to be good again. That's all. It is that simple.

 

No other options. Butch whiffed on a QB hardcore this past year though.

As of right now, I can see him winning the East division but I don't think there is enough talent in the world that can cover up our coordinators.

 

I want to see if he is an effective enough leader that he can cut ties with two inferior coordinators. With that said, it's imperative for the whole body of work that he makes a bowl game this year. Recruiting momentum only carries you so far and can shift quickly if you aren't doing what you're selling.

 

I get why he wants to keep staff in place, for now, but at what point do we have to move on to the next step of the plan?

 

No bowl this year, then changes must be made.

Yes, when you're an 8-9 win team that gets shredded by bad teams.

 

You could make an argument that that was last year.

 

And we're not there yet.

 

There are times when firing guys is what you have to do, but if the 8th was AD, we'd be firing somebody every other series every weekend

 

It's pretty bad when the resident commitment-phobe is chastising others for not being committed enough to our staff.

Not a fair assessment, when the 8th's choices don't ever get hired.
