Would also need a coordinator that specializes in not playing terrible walkons ahead of future NFLers. Probably need another coordinator for in-game adjustments to offense and defense. Another one to figure out going for 1 or 2. Maybe all these responsibilities could go to one guy. Call him the football coordinator or coaching coordinator.

One would hope so. I mean if Shoop is the DC everyone says he is, he should be drooling over our DL next year and would want him on the other side from Barnett.

 

It isn't about genius. Kenny Stabler called his own for ages. It's a feel thing, with some understanding of defense and its tendencies.
