This was the first thing I thought when I read Gaston Moore.

 

Context. He looked ok in mop up duty last year. And we aren’t even playing Nico when the game is over. So if Nico sucks that bad, then play Gaston. There is some hyperbole there. But the point is Nico isn’t even being given courtesy time.

And we invested too much time in Joe. I think tactically that was a poor decision

People want to see a gamer not someone who runs out of bounds before the sticks.

Hard for me to say OL sucks with a top 5 rushing attack.

 

It's an easy excuse for people that think Nico will get killed if he gets in or that Joe doesn't have time to make plays.

Now I said they were choke artists. How many times vs aTm did we move effectively downfield then stall out because of miscues. It’s not the blocking I was referring to.

Olay Lane has had a rough go and in over his head. We expected the G from Tx to fill that spot. Cooper was out 4 games and we had walkon Dayne Davis playing center, which he’s never played before, and RT. Mincey has been out. There’s been a lot going on there and less mobility at qb doesn’t help.
My concern is we replace this whole OL next year, iirc, and Nico will be behind all new starters and TEs.
Joe has generally had time. But Wrs aren’t getting separation or when they rarely do he’s late or missed the window.

 

Tap the brakes on the Gaston Moore talk. If he’s in the game for any meaningful minutes, the season hasn’t just gone slightly off the rails, it’s a full blown derailment.
