Maybe he's just pointing out some people claim integration would kill the game

I read it as some people thought that and fought against it, but it didn't kill the game like the naysayers said it would. But idk.

Idk, the 2nd Army covering the withdrawal at Dunkirk seemed to be intent on killing Germans. Too little too late in the grand scheme, of course.

 

France had the largest army on earth in 1940. They should have put up a better fight. That’s easy for me to say though. I didn’t watch almost every man I know die in a ditch in WW1
