if I lived in the mid state I'd like it, otherwise meh. I can see why they do it. I'm not gonna get on here and hate it.

    That is good.

I think every year they should have one in Nashville or Memphis - rotate them each year.

Moved UConn series back, will still have 7 home games.

Still gets a "meh" from me. Would rather play 8 home games, but I understand why they are doing it.

you know this is slightly off-topic but I have always thought Tennessee was hurt more than any other program by the '92 expansion.
We lost the Auburn series which was arguably the second most popular game on the schedule. And we lost the Ole Miss series, which was really important for west Tennessee Vols. Not sure how much it actually hurt but I do believe losing that game - which was often played Memphis sometimes - has done more to hurt our recruiting and popularity in Memphis and west Tennessee than anything else.

Being a good ol West Tennessee boy I'll say I don't think anything has hurt anything as much as much as repeated ass-kickings. But West Tennessee is still Tennessee. East Tennesseans, from my experience, (I live in Knoxville now, have for 15 years) can think Tennessee territory stops at Roane Co, sometimes.

I've had plenty of whiskey in Neyland.

Its not and never will compare to Neyland in any way, but the 25 min drive is nice.

Butch must really want to own Middle Tennessee area in recruiting.

Having grown up in Middle Tennessee, I'm glad to see this.

Vanderbilt has countered this and will open their season at the Knoxville Coliseum.

I think this is more about Butch ****ing with Vandy more than owning recruiting in the mid state. It will be nice to show up Vandy's season attendance in one game in their back yard.
