I doubt Alabama would allow another school to offer a number that they wouldn't match. How bad would it make them look, after all he's done for that program, to let him walk away at the pinnacle of his career because they wouldn't pay enough to keep him? And Texas isn't going to pay him $10 mil per year. Frankly, Texas doesn't need Saban. There are a number of guys who can win big there.
