I like the ink idea. People walk around now with ash on their forehead or wear one of those "I voted stickers". Also; make the National election day a holiday or on a Saturday to make it easier for working folks to vote.
what stops you from washing it off? what I don't understand is why we don't need to show ID. or at least not in California. it would be absurdly easy for me to vote multiple times.
I know you are joking (I hope), but it does bring up something interesting. Watching a show last month on Netflix, The Men Who Built America, I think it was called. back in the 19th century, you would vote by putting your ballot in one of two boxes. Companies would have foremen there watching to see who you voted for, and if you didn't vote for the pro-monopoly guy, you were likely to find yourself out on the street, blacklisted.
They make inks that are impossible to wash off and can only wear off. Ever get that blue crap from porta-potties on you?
I wouldn't want something that was on me for multiple days. if you really want to get the voting numbers up, it's time for online voting.
the democrats have been objecting to anything that verifies someone's identity based on the theory it will discourage minorities to vote.
Fine, make the social security card into hard plastic, like a credit card, and that's your voter ID as well.
