Who will be the next OC?

Never said he's a cant miss and I'm not sure why you think recruiting wouldn't be affected when one of the best recruiters on this staff gets elevated to a position of power giving him more leverage. If you bring in a QB coach who can even remotely make a difference on the recruiting trail then you have upgraded.

 

It's hard to argue with Lincoln Riley's results but I'm not sure how our players, particularly QB, complement his system. Dobbs at least. Think he needs a QB that can throw.

 

If he steps in and is subpar, why would recruiting get better? Last I checked we have actually been pretty good there.

Riley just got hired at OU. Not sure why he would leave there after a week or two at his new job.

Im a fan of going outside. You have legit $ and a legit roster to be attractive. The public perception is that Jones is not on the hot seat adding pressure like it did for Dooleys last set of hires.

 

I agree. I like bringing in new blood, even if it's gonna be the same philosophy. There's bound to be some different ideas. Plus, maybe he'll also want to bring his own OL coach.

 

I'm just pissed Riley is off the market. I'm just going to go to bed before I throw something I shouldn't thinking about how we're going to screw this up.

Mahoney will be there til the day that Butch is no longer HC. He's not getting a HC/OC job and Butch isn't firing him. Pretty confident about that.
