Yes, speeding is punishable by law. That's why you were able to pulled over. If it wasn't punishable, and you were pulled over, that would be illegal by the cop. So you're a criminal, by using definitions. Which seems silly.
I think we can all conclude, using intelligence, what is the right use of the word. And simply saying that criminals are people that are convicted is a simple enough test, that doesn't require feelings, or nuance. It's binary: Convicted - > Criminal Not convicted -> Not Criminal It's not the American way. But it is a better way.
Nah, the police, prosecutors, the government in general would never screw over someone and think they could get away with it. It'd never happen. Not weighing in on this case necessarily, but yeah, I believe it could happen.
Again, the dude Zimmerman hired is a nutjob crackpot who is known for submitting numerous frivolous lawsuits, nearly all of which get dismissed. Klayman is banned from two court rooms, disbarred for DC courts and on and on. His Wiki page is amazing, check it out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Klayman I don't think this will get very far.
no doubt the prosecutors are dumb given the way they went at the trial, but yeah to do that in a such a high profile case would be complete stupidity. and also why wait to file this?
I’m definitely trying this on a cop when/if I get pulled over again. Maybe even the judge. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Umm, "it's not criminal or prosecutable". Why even go to court to see a judge? Just rip up the ticket and forget about it.
