He posted on another forum a weeks back but has not been back since.

I was hoping someone checked in on him.

People that pick the only pump at a gas station with diesel when every other pump is open are the worst kind of people.

So, my wife has discovered that she can place an order with Whole Foods through the Amazon app and have it delivered the same day.

I'll be going bankrupt.

 

But think about all the time you'll save waiting in the checkout line and traffic

 

On topic of placing orders, i spent some time 2 weeks ago with the guys from Bham who created Shipt. A freaking app to get food delivered created by a 32 yr old with a hs degree.
Sold for $550 million to Target.
When it came time for the check one buddy said "split it" and i was like you gotta be dry humping me. Split it?
He had over 1000 employees at one time, mainly programmers i guess.

 

I might have. Not evenly mind you, but I probably would have and still generously.

 

The first guy to ask about splitting it is usually the one who ordered a $500 bottle of wine and the seafood 7 story tower for appetizer.

 

It is what should be promoted in our culture, it should be the norm. IMHO.

 

I let the chickens out this morning to run around the yard, and about an hour later I hear the chickens making an *odd* sound. I go out an they are all huddled under the deck, and I know what that means. I walk down into the woods and see a hawk fly off, and sure enough, there is one of our chickens. She is still breathing and lying there and I let her be, let her die in peace.

I spend a half an hour with my wife's help getting the spooked chickens in their run and Laura asks if we should put the other chicken down. I thought "I don't know, she didn't seem to be suffering." And at that time we look over and she is up and walking around. You could have knocked us both over with a, well, chicken feather.

We have her in quarantine now so that the other hens don't peck at her one wound and we will see if she makes it. I am in complete shock as I thought she was a goner. She may still die, but damn, it was an amazing moment.
