That is certainly an odd catch-22, but you don’t have to be indicted yet. You can get a blanket pardon for all crimes previously committed. So it feels like the answer is ..... yes.

 

Constitutionally, yes. I am not saying it is going on, and I really hope it isn't, and after the whole "Russia" thing, I would never presume it to be true, but it is the perfect scam.

Yeah, but as I understand it, in order for a pre-emptive pardon to stick, Trump would have to detail the specific crimes that, for example, his kids committed first. I don’t think you can just give a pardon for anything illegal they did in the past and make it stick, but I’m far from a legal expert.

Of course, any pardon he tried to give them for any crimes they might commit in the future is unlikely to hold up.

 

If that is the case liberals should be begging him to make these pardons. That way they can see all the crimes him and his family have possibly committed.
