Not bad. I do all mine. Hardest part is getting the old tape off. Tgw.com has a kit that is inexpensive.
First, no, I don't think it means he's back. But he's getting closer. Secondly, anyone played Tobacco Road here in my neck of the woods in Sanford, NC? Weather permitting I'll be playing tomorrow. Gotta love 1/2 days in the Army around the Holidays.
well for those wondering (if that is anybody), Tobacco Road is definitely worth playing. Fun course that challenges you to hit good shots and that doesn't necessarily always mean safe shots. There are times where you just have to trust your swing and club selection and know it's going to get there. Lots of undulating greens, blind shots both on the tee and on your approach and tons of waste areas. Fortunately they are waste areas so you can ground your club, but still tough. Just like any course here in the Southern Pines/Whispering Pines/Pinehurst areas, pine trees line just about every fairway so you better not be hooking or slicing the ball. All that said, I was striking the ball beautifully, I just wish I could've putted a little bit to put up a really nice number.
Just went to play a round here in Georgia and was refused access to the course because one of the guys in our group was in jeans.
Idiotic. Never got that. You'll have to wait until Tiger plays a round in jeans before it will be allowed I suppose. I got the same treatment a few years back at Clemson's course in like February. The guy eventually let me play when I said I was visiting a buddy and didn't even bring khakis.
if you're going to be playing a nice course, don't wear [uck fay]ing jeans. jesus. even in the winter, you can throw on a pair of warmup or rain pants and be fine. if needed i'll even put on a pair of long johns with my rain pants. add a polo shirt and a windbreaker. now, if it's a local shit bag muni wear whatever you want but jeans are just a personal pet peeve of mine. and really i don't give a shit what somebody wants to wear, but when i was kid my buddies mom wouldn't even take us to the range if we didn't have a collared shirt and some form on of non denim on. it just stuck with me i guess.
Which is why I laughed at them when they got mad. Don't give a crap if you can't play. At least look like you can.
Why? I just dont care what guys wear when they play. The guys who suck but try to look the part are usually the biggest tools in my experience.
Wearing jeans on the course is white trash. Act like you have some class. Oh, and the only I thing hate more than jeans on the course are people who don't fix their ball marks.
In some cases I agree. But my rule is this, if you go to a place that requires a tee time wear slacks
