Lynyrd Skynyrd doesn't actually believe in flying high like a free bird, imo.

    I kid. I kid.

For the Union, yes. The reason we call prostitutes "hookers" is because Joseph Hooker had a virtual traveling brothel follow his headquarters. The men of the Army of the Potomac referred to these "ladies" as Hooker's Corp. The Corp part was later dropped leaving us with only hookers.

Go try to take over a federal military outpost and see how you are treated.

The ONLY thing lacking from that are the words, "BY GOD!" after the date. If those were there, perfection.

RockyHill Loves Auburn more than Tennessee.

That has nothing to do with what I said. Is it the slavery or treason you hate most, I'm trying to figure out what exactly made the confederacy the worst group of people in the history of the world in your eyes.

You ever seen Blazin' Saddles? "We'll save room for some (choose several inappropriate racial epithets here), but NO WAY do we let the Irish in!"

That has to be the most boring battlefield I've ever been to. It's not a figurative name.

The earthworks remaining from the Horseshoe Salient are still pretty impressive.

Culpeper to Warrenton is a beautiful area.

    It's a little bit of A, a little bit of B.

By 1860, slavery was indefensible. Almost the entire developed/industrial/advanced world had abandoned it... most for upwards of 50 years. It was an undeniable evil.

Treason on account of an indefensible evil is about as bad as it gets in US history. The Confederacy, and everything it stood for, was vile.

Yes they are. The Bloody Angle was fascinating. I mean something like a 16" oak tree was felled by only small arms fire there. And of course Hancock's Corps was smack dab in the middle of it. That bunch either loved fighting or they were some of the most unlucky bastages of all time.

My apologies, sir. You know I would never harm your delicate psyche.

It really is. If not for the traffic, Central-to-Northern Virginia is an absolutely beautiful area.

It's amazing how Hancock and other Union Generals are not sainted like Lee and Jackson.
