Thanks. thanks IP. Not only does Saban bend over my favorite college team every year, you had to remind me how much he ****ed my favorite pro team. Thanks.
If you think we're some sort of special snowflake that he will bide his time for years for, you're gonna have a bad time. He wants to be here, but we have people in power who don't want him. If he wants to coach again, we need to make ourselves receptive and available. We are doing neither.
Finebaum, on a rant about Lyle earlier this week said the almost exact opposite, so definitely TIFWIW. Edit: To clarify, he mentioned Gruden having interest as a definite thing last time around.
Is there a coach with the humiliating distinction of having lost to both Dooley and Jones? If so, he's our next hire. I thought about it and couldn't think of anyone, which is pretty sad considering both were here for three years. I think the only SEC guys Dooley beat were Joker Philips, Houston Nutt, James Franklin and the guy that preceded him. None of them are around anymore, obviously, but at least Franklin moved on to greener pastures. Butch's wins will all likely be gone next year. Mason may stick one more season.
