Right because the argument that you'll be ok because the offense is simple and completely disregarding how the best qbs of our generation sucked as true frosh is brilliant analysis.
Generally speaking, I think everyone here would agree, you don't want a true freshman quarterback. Not a recipe for success...though mediocre is achievable, I'd say.
How many vol qbs of the past 20 years would you want true frosh ainge to start over? If he's mediocre it should be at least half right?
Ok, let's use passer rating as our metric. It's not perfect but it will get the job done. I'm gonna toss out Hollieway and Frazier because they were option guys but their ratings would both be top 15 their freshman years. Stidham didn't play enough to reasonably count him. The rest of these guys played a lot as freshman and here's where they ranked in the country as true freshman: Manning-12th Clausen-13th Ainge-32nd RG3-28th Pryor-21st Barkley-53rd Leak-47th Bray-33rd I can't wait to hear how you're going to conclude that being above average does not meet the threshold of being mediocre.
Typically amorphous droski argument. I thought we were just coming up with done names of true freshmen qbs who were mediocre. I wouldn't want a true freshman QB to start. But what does that have to do with how one performed when he did?
Jesus. Droski: Rosen is the only decent true frosh QB ever. RHV: Here's a list of 8 QB's who were all above average as freshman. In fact, 6 of them were in the top 35. Droski: But did they win a Natty?
