it is just sad how he was run down as a fraud, and it turns out the attack was real. many will never hear that. fox news isn't going to carry the story that charges were dropped like they did when they were filed.

Wait, did the attack turn out to be real? Or were charges just dropped over lack of evidence?

Again, I'll put $100 on the table that it was ordered. You don't just drop 16 felony counts at the drop of the hat.

Only thing out is charges were dropped. Nothing more. Only quotes so far are from his attorneys.

Imo, prosecutors didnt want to continue due to community service being the expected outcome.

    I can buy that.

The political cynic in me says this the the Democrat machine doing something to turn the tide against the beatdown of the Mueller report though.

you don't think he's exonerated, since there are no charges?

    Legally, sure.

Will I laugh at it? Also, sure.

    Sealed files is odd.

He gave up his 10,000 coconut bond to the city. So he paid 10K to have the charges dropped.

No idea, they are sealed. However i would think the innocent party would want them open. Seems he may have paid some $, committed to comm service and in return they agreed to seal.
All just a guess from me.

I agree completely about innocent parties presumably wanting them open.

"Lots of people give up their bond in these kind of cases"

    Ok

Seems pretty unlikely they bring those charges against a public figure like that without some pretty strong evidence. If he's really innocent it seems he'd have a pretty good lawsuit to bring against the PD for defaming him.

I still think the whole thing was orchestrated. Way, way too fishy and this isn't the first time he's been accused of this type of thing.

Rahm seems pretty pissed about it. Could be a show, but he was dragging Smollet pretty good.
