Sure Butch is void of a personality and talks in circles but he is infinitely better than Dooley, on every level.

 

Exactly. The guy is a piece of shit. He didn't recruit a single OL in a recruiting cycle. That's complete negligence.

 

I honestly think Dooley is better at Xs & Os, but just didn't give a shit. Butch is the opposite. He gives a shit, but is a terrible Xs & Os/gameday coach.

He was better at hiring an OC, I'll give him that.

Here's the bottom line and I think this contributes to how I feel more than I realize, deep down I know Butch will never win a damn thing. And I believe that once you know a coach can't get it done it's time to part ways. Jury was out after the 2010 season with Dooley. In 2011 we knew exactly what we had. We had to suffer one more season. We've known what we have in Butch since early last year, but unless there's a massive change on the hill and our fans change their standards (they won't), we're stuck with this assclown until 2024. So yeah, I preemptively hate Butch for slow bleeding us to death for the next 8 years.

I don't like Dooley any better than you, but he knows more football than Butch.

 

Butch buries Dooley in recruiting. But about anyone could if they halfway tried.

 

If you put Shoop in during Dooley's final year,I disagree.

 

Look at last year's schedule. We had zero impressive wins.

 

Six seasons and he finished above .500 once.

 

I seriously think Butch has SPED level football intuition on gameday.
