I agree. But I think at least part of why we were pissed is because the team we lost to wasn’t considered very good. They’ve since shown that they’re clearly not all that bad of a squad.

It would be interesting to track coaches’ tourney losses and how many games the opponents they lost to went on to play.

I’d say losing to someone who gets bounced in the next round signals a worse coaching job than losing to someone who goes on one or more rounds after that.

 

Again if we shot our bullets and played reasonably well, ok, but it was sooooo bad.

 

I thought our 19 points at half was bad.

It’s amazing what Oregon State’s opponents have shot from 3 in their 3 games. And they were good looks. It still feels like they beat 2 bad teams and a Loyola team that picked a horrible time to go cold.

 

What is also really annoying is them doing this in their first tournament appearance since the Marcus Aurelius administration

 

Nope. Team played like trash and looked lost at everything they tried to do. That falls on him.

I can accept randomness and teams getting hot from 3, though. We just didn't have a satisfying performance by any stretch.
