Kyle Alexander hasn't had a good game in over a month.

 

It's that time of year where you have to get your weaknesses sured up or start figuring out how to manipulate your way around them. Tonite was the first time we flinched all year.

Hopefully it's the last.

 

SEC tourney is that time. Early yet.

 

In some situations and matchups yes.
They re not making a run in the tournament with him sitting. So while you can pull him you re not going very far without him either.

 

The deficit on the boards increased dramatically when we went small ball.

 

Brock Jancek is the big-bodied savior this team deserves.

 

With our remaining schedule?

Tournament seeding is going to be played out through LSU, UK, AU and State.

 

They lost to James Madison today..lol...

 

I think we could have benefited greatly at times from playing fast.

 

I'm not worried about tournament seeding.

 

You should. There's a big difference in a 1 vs. 2 seed.

 

Tell us why we should be concerned about being a 2 seed rather than a 1?

 

Its not the be all, but it can make the path substantially different in getting where this team is capable of.

If we re still searching in Nashville for those last couple of things that's never a good sign.

 

At times.
We could have pushed more after a score but you re chasing your tail in the sense your trying to get back what you just gave up.

You dont need to go small to play with more pace anyway.

 

Given UT went into tonite as the project 2nd #1 seed it means you re going the wrong way heading into the tournament.

Doesnt mean you cant win it, but your path can change in an unfavorable way. Especially if you fall to the last 2 seed.

 

Because a 2 seed means the possibility of seeing a Duke instead of a Michigan State in your region. I also think there is a decent sized drop off, typically, between a 3 seed and a 4.

 

I think UT is good enough to beat any team in the country. I don’t think they should be of seein anyone in their region, come tournament time.

 

Bottom line for this game:

We shoot better, it’s a game.

Or

A few more fouls get called early, it’s a game.

Both likely happen in Knoxville, and I think that means we even the series and take home the regular season crown.

 

I didn't like seeing us not match their physical toughness - especially in the first half. If the refs are going to let them clobber -several times - our best player we need to clobber their best player. When I saw we weren't going to respond physically to that bull----- I knew we had lost.

I hope it is not indicative of this team's mentality - if it is, forget going deep into the tourney.
