My favorite is when the band plays when their team is on...................offense.

Now, I will say, ours does not play when a) we are on offense or b) someone is injured.

Maryville's did it a couple of weeks ago and about 1/2 the section next to them told them to shut up.

They did not do it Friday.

Cross country coaches and parents are a different breed from football.

Both my kids did cross country, my son for one year and my daughter for three or four. As far as a parent experience, I far preferred cross country to football. Too much jockeying for position and front running among football parents. I'm referring to high school mainly. Coaches...my daughter's first cross country coach got a heavy dose of hippie somewhere along the way, but he was the best she had by a country mile.

My son would agree, and my daughter would laugh at this.

Boy is running cross country this year. Ran a race yetserday and I told him if he hit a certain time that I thought would be a reasonable jump I'd give him $100. He said what if I hit XXX time, lower than the first? I told him sure, make it $200, thinking there's no way on earth he'd shave a minute off his PR.

    Well, I owe him $200.

Take the insanity of every boy's sport, combine them all together, then multiply by 25. And you might get close to softball.

I've calmed down considerably, but I was nuts as a baseball coach. And I would walk over and watch some of those games and think they went about 10 steps past where I would go. Issues from softball with at least 4-1 with baseball with about 25% of the kids playing.

Let me regale you all with more lacrosse. In all my years of youth sports, lacrosse parents are the easiest. Each game there is a game administrator. If parents yell at a ref, the game is stopped and admin gives a warning. Next time, the game is stopped and the parent is told to leave with the game not resuming until they do.
It’s a pretty good atmosphere as you end up just hearing constant cheering for your team and kids.

One mom has wild child tattooed right under her ass cheeks and man eater on her thigh. She wears shorts that don't cover them.
