DC has Marvel envy. Marvel's Capt. Mar Vell > DC's Capt. Marvel. Btw, that costume is flamingly gay as well.
Marvel comics are gay, so I understand. I jest. I jest. I preferred DC comics as a kid because that's what the local grocery store (and sole comic outlet within range of my bicycle) usually had in stock, so for nostalgic reasons as much as anything, I am curious.
I don't know about that, but there are some kinky, except in Kentucky, story lines that could be developed with those two.
I like a flawed hero like Batman, but don't have a problem with a Boy Scout getting super powers, either. It's almost comforting to think of a guy that good having that much power. I'm hoping this new Superman movie doesn't portray him as having a dark side. That just doesn't suit the character, in my opinion.
Nice little write up on the movie - 'The Dark Knight Rises' Film Review: A Grim, Spectacularly Black Beauty - WSJ.com
Anybody else doing the Dark Knight marathon at Regal? All three movies in a row. I think Turkey Creek and Downtown are doing it in Knox. Green Hills and Opry Mills in Nashville. ETA: Looks like they've added a lot more since I last checked. Here's a list of theaters across the country doing it: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/regal-entertainment-group-hosts-dark-203000850.html
Wish I could. My wife and I were actually discussing that it might be good to see these this week before watching the new one this weekend.
That's like ten hours of movies. I think by the time rhe new one started I'd be over it. Don't have it in me. I may rent the other two and watch them the day before.
Interesting parallels to: the hounding of the Dark Knight as a criminal by the police and public, because they need the false image of Dent as a hero-- and the hounding of "negavols" because the fanbase needs the delusion that Dooley is a great coach. A stretch? Ya, definitely.
Dent became a psychopath and went on a killing spree. That sort of thing is frowned upon by assistant DA's.
"Was" is the key word. At one point in time, Dent was efficient and effective. That's more than Dooley can ever say.
