Wait, are people really saying Jim Bob Cooter is leaving the NFL?

He interviewed Matt Canada before hiring DeBord. Canada went on to be a Broyles finalist at Pitt before taking the LSU job last month

Canada only did well because Butch and Bajakian turned Nathan Peterman into a Heisman caliber QB.

I only skimmed through the new posts in this thread and saw his name. I was going going to laugh at anybody who said yes.

Apparently someone mentioned that Hubbs says Helfrich is not a "real" option right now.

It'll end up being Scott or Azzani

Some rumors floating around that he's gonna sit and wait for a HC job out west to open up. Hes making 2.5 now.

Hope he and Chip both wait and pair back up next year for our opening.

    But....wishful thinking

I don't think it's that absurd that he'd come here at some point. As things stand right now, it'd be a pretty dumb move.

I didn't know there was anything else being discussed other than right. I must have overlooked that part.

I agree there could be scenarios where he would end up here, but a lateral move form the NFL to college, of his own chosing, isn't one of them.

Peyton would be the one making that deal if he comes here.

Tenacious D The law is of supreme importance, or no importance

Helfrich's Oregon buyout is guaranteed, and not reduced by future earnings at all, anywhere, for any job he takes.

So, if we doesn't come here, strike "money" as being the reason. Read: this will likely be the #1 stupidly offered excuse cited by Vawlz fans.

That's our genius - Butch even made Pitt better.

Dozens of coaches have texted to confirm this.

Swain is saying Helfrich never actually called plays at Oregon. That right?

I say he should name Mahoney & Azzani CO-OC's, and get 2017 kicked off right.

Didn't Lincoln Riley and Canada both want the job.

Canada's action with the fly one way while running IZ the other is dirty stuff. Kamara would have been perfect running the fly.

Gotcha. I assumed that it was standard contract verbage that if you get another gig, your buyout is adjusted. But who am I kidding, college Athletic Directors seem to be some of the dumbest people on the planet right now.

If he stays in house I think it's Scott.
