He interviewed Matt Canada before hiring DeBord. Canada went on to be a Broyles finalist at Pitt before taking the LSU job last month

Some rumors floating around that he's gonna sit and wait for a HC job out west to open up. Hes making 2.5 now.

 

Hope he and Chip both wait and pair back up next year for our opening.

I don't think it's that absurd that he'd come here at some point. As things stand right now, it'd be a pretty dumb move.

I agree there could be scenarios where he would end up here, but a lateral move form the NFL to college, of his own chosing, isn't one of them.

Gotcha. I assumed that it was standard contract verbage that if you get another gig, your buyout is adjusted. But who am I kidding, college Athletic Directors seem to be some of the dumbest people on the planet right now.
