It's implied. It doesn't explicitly state "all" either, but for whatever reason, you're taking it that way. Split hairs all you want. We all know what he is saying.
Only because the right doesn't have a puppet like Colbert. There is a reason for that. There isn't a market in telling jokes about liberals because of micro-aggressions and safe spaces and what not. An exact right wing comparison to Colbert doesn't exist but isn't necessary either. A liberal like Colbert can say what he said to a national tv audience, while conservatives are having speeches at college campuses shut down entirely. That's all the evidence of hypocrisy I need.
You make a distinction without a difference. They are both in the opinion as entertainment business. One is not funny, the other is more not funny.
So one guy knows and understands his audience, and medium, and the others you reference don't? That's valid. Those folks should do better at picking a venue.
Who thinks Anderson Cooper could say what was said and not get fired? Or Lester Holt? There are really like ... 5 people max that might get away saying what Colbert said. And all have or do work for Colbert or Stewart. It cannot be hypocrisy if AC gets fired. It just means special treatment.
Who gets to decide what political affiliations are? Let's hop on board this Socratic train all the way, if that's the way we are playing.
No, they just have a washed up rocker like Ted Nugent tell the world that Obama can suck the business end of his machine gun and call Hillary a c*nt.
And he would assuredly be fired. No question. And as much as I love AC there would be no defending him.
