The Mountain broke the world deadlift record yesterday. Just a 1,041 pounds.

OK, when blood is pouring out of your nose because of straining...time to find a new sport.


And the dude stands there after deadlifting it and nods at the crowd, holding the weight up for what seems like 5 seconds.

I couldn't lift that with a hydraulic press.

It came up pretty easily too.

There's a documentary on Netflix about the previous record holder, Eddie Hall, that featured The Mountain a bit.

It is insane what the work and discipline those guys put in.

 

I was hoping to get some news on the new season.

At this rate, I'll be finished reading all the books before the next season comes out.

 

I feel like I've already forgotten 75% of the books, but it's not like I can up and reread 6000 pages at the drop of a hat when the next book finally comes out.

I'll be totally honest, it's not the easiest read for me. So many words that I have to say, wait, what? And go back and re-read the sentence again.

 

It took me a long time to finish the first two books. Quit on them a few times. Then I got really into and finished the last three pretty quick.

 

I thought the last two were the worst. The parallel timelines suck.

 

Exactly what is happening to me. Took me almost a year for the first one, been reading the second for a couple of months. I only read at night before going to bed to relax my mind.

 

I read the first three very quickly. The last two definitely took a good bit longer.

 

I stopped 50 pages in. Can't stay focused long enough or keep track of names. I may have done better after the show. Putting a face with a name would have helped. Never forget a face but horrible with names.
