A friend that is a first responder that went over and helped. Hopefully it ends up not being true. It will more than double the count if what he said is true.
Gatlinburg travesty got very little national attention, Red Cross turning away donations and a rave fire in Oakland is on the front page of Drudge for 2 days.... Pisses me off. I pray for the families that have lost loved ones.. Sounds like there are some bad stories out there.
As do I; however, it was the lead story on NBC Nightly News for 2 or 3 days possibly 4, I can't remember for sure. Shown prominently on CBS as well. Not trying to be an ass, but maybe it's your choice of news services. I could say more, but out of respect for those affected by the fire, I'll refrain.
I thought it was pretty well covered also...I'm glad my mom isn't alive to see what has happened to what was one of her favorite places on Earth...

I'm surprised they haven't. The local coverage has been remarkable. There's good people in this area and they are coming together to help our own like they do to help others. I'm proud of that.
I think it's because we do such a good job of taking care of our own. A lot like the Nashville floods.

Cherry-picked tweets being used to broadly paint millions isn't an article. My facebook feed has East Tennessee Christians saying God sent a loud message to Tennessee, and asked if we were listening. Folks are stupid. Don't get sucked in to this idiocy.
