My brother in law got a notice from the IRS that he owed $15k in back social security taxes. Apparently he was working in a t shirt factory in lorado and was declaring he was exempt on his w9. But hey I'm sure that wasn't an illegal immigrant doing that because they can't work normal jobs.
Next time you are in Knoxville we can go eat at one of several local fast food establishments, my treat. Illegal immigrants are working there or there is an insanely high % of legal Hispanic citizens that work these jobs.
Not sure there is a way short of asking. But essentially take common sense and apply to stats. Maybe I'm wrong. Doubtful though.

Illegals work at fast food places. I don't know an owner of a McDonald's, but some other places. Yes, they work there. Mainly in the back.
Question that I don't know the answer to - How do they go about hiring them? Just looking at this from a tax standpoint, payroll tax returns are heavily scrutinized, and moreso as they are matched to a tax return. I just don't see how they do it short of ID theft.
I'm with you. How does anyone short of hiring field workers/lawn care type illegals get away with hiring said illegals? There's criminal ramifications here.
Pertaining to the thread topic: could these embassy attacks end up changing things? I feel like the potential is there, but so far Romney overplayed/jumped the gun.
Could it? Yes. I don't think it will because Romney has already come out and said too much. I did see a poll today that it's back to 46/45 though.
By the end of the debates, Romney will win the economy issue. That's my prediction. Yes, I realize perfectly about the $700 billion with regards to Ryan's plan. I also understand that independent groups have analyzed Obamacare's impact on Medicare, which predicts that Medicare patients will be unable to receive care when it is fully implemented because doctors will refuse to take medicare patients. I think this is a very real problem with Obamacare and not just partisan politics. My mother who just became eligible for Medicare has found that it's already extremely difficult to find a specialist to see about a minor condition because they're refusing to take Medicare patients as a result of Obamacare. Imagine what it will be like when it's fully implemented.
They buy fake social security cards and in california you can get a license without proof of citizenship. That's all you need to get a job.
My apologies. A small percentage of minimum wage workers are illegal immigrants sewing wallets in border towns. But I'm sure e factories pick hat location out of pure coincidence. I'm sure if you google it you can come up with what jobs minimum wage workers have. Most are in the food industry. Not many US citizens will wash dishes for minimum wage or work the fryer. Usually when the illegals gain citizenship they move up the economic ladder by the point.
I think you just encapsulated the problem for Romney. You just gave some vagaries and then threw in a it's obvious that he's better than Obama, who is very bad. Oh, and I ran a business! So, if you don't buy this vague idea of my vision, then you are "too dumb to realize it".
