No, you do what they have been doing. Complaining until it goes to court forcing the government to do its job. Not Kim Davis, but the government whom Kim Davis is acting as a representative of. I am honestly surprised that there is any debate about this. Use any other example except marriage and people would be going apeshit over this. Anything. Drivers license, carry permit, housing permit. Anything else.
Her deputies have been issuing since the day after she was put in jail. Some, if not all, the original 5 already got their license.
The thing is, she doesn't have a choice. Her job is to do it, regardless of her religious views, per the oath she took when she accepted her position.
Theoretically. But she has already stated her desire to prohibit her deputies from issuing licenses, on her return to work tomorrow. And she also likely has the ability to fire those employees should they refuse those orders. We won't know if the problem is solved until she returns to work, and a couple attempts to obtain a license while she is present.
