    1. Here's an article from 2010, showing that the SEC had more black head coaches than any of the six power conferences. Did we go from being the most diverse to racist in that timeframe? Where were the articles celebrating our diversity in making those hires?

    2. Guess what all of those coaches have in common, besides being black? They've each underperformed, for the most part.

    3. It's not only the fans of these respective institutions that believe that these coaches weren't getting it done. Another notable group who seems to believe they weren't: the NCAA Selection Committee. And another: the media. Aren't these the same people who almost unanimously bemoan the sad state of SEC basketball, and have for several years?

    4. Are Cuonzo Martin and Frank Haith the first two coaches to skip town when the clouds begin to grow dark, even sometimes for a lateral or lesser move? No? Then why single these instances, the SEC out for doing so?

    5. What exactly was racist about offering Cuonzo a significant raise and an extension? Because it wasn't all that he wanted? Oh, not agreeing to a coaches demands in salary and security must be unique to us, too. Frank Haith wasn't forced to jump to Tulsa, as his job was secure through at least next season. Both chose to leave. How is that our fault?

    6. I'll take Kevin Ollie right now. Send him on down.

    This is absolute rubbish.

That is what we all want to do, isn't it? My southern mind cannot comprehend long words though. But seriously, there have to be much better venues to write race articles. That dastardly Southeastern Conference and its highest number of black head coaches of any conference. That must be a terrible environment! I didn't see the Big Ten's complete lack of black coaches mentioned once (edit: I do see them counting the Rutgers coach who has never coached a game in the conference mentioned as if Rutgers is actually a Big Ten school before July 1st). These things must be written from a template any time this region is mentioned. George Wallace will probably be mentioned when Alabama fires Anthony Grant next year. Because the past writes the future and nothing ever changes. And when a small step forward happens, it is an excuse to talk about what happened before. Remember kids, racism only happens down South.

The school Martin got hired to in the liberal west has had only one black head coach in football or basketball history before he was hired.
