I do love the new rules, though. "Pitch quicker." "No, not that quick. Violation." "Too long. Pitch clock violation." "Please pitch between 9-11.7 seconds after receiving the ball from the catcher. Thank you."
He’s gone even longer than that, also struck out Devers last year on a pitch like that. I love Nestor
Definitely. Up there with Sunday at the Masters and Thursday/Friday opening round games of the NCAA tournament.
Braves won World Series. The next year Vol football is top 5 and back in a big boy bowl. It was the Cardinals taking the place of the Braves as the dominant NL team that was the problem.
No. Large majority of UT fanbase is Braves fans. From the mid 90s until not that long ago Braves fan were content to winning division titles, as they will remind you of their division title streak. Instead of competing to win it all, the fanbase began settled for being good enough, not great. Not enough would hold the UTAD feet to fire, hence just like the Braves, being good enough was acceptable. And during that same time, everyone else around us decided that winning it all was the standard, not division titles.
And our last World Series was immediately following the 1998 National Championship and right before our last BCS Bowl before this past season. The Braves streak of 14 straight division titles ended in 2005, which is when the UT football shit show really started. Braves good = UT football good Anyone cheering against the Braves hates UT football success. It's science.
