I was watching, kid was awesome. He had Machado with 2 strikes too, maybe at 1-2. Fouled one off, then got under one. Fielder had a chance to make the play, but was a tough catch. Was really close to 3-up, 3-down of Soto, Rodriguez, Machado. Striking out Soto, Rodriguez, and Devers in one inning will have to do.

Soto rocked one earlier, and the other pitcher was essentially like, "Holy shit, that was awesome", lol

 

Soto absolutely destroyed that ball. Not much else you can say.

I both feel awful for Diaz and am laughing hysterically at the Mets.

 

I’m card carrying member of Team LOL Mets but I’m having a hard time finding any solace in this.

I hate Mets fans as much as any fan base in sports.

 

Out for season.

That was as fun of a game as I’ve watched in ages last night. Pitching defense clutch hitting. It’s all you can ask for.

Move this thing to July take a break around the all star game once every 4 years. I’m begging you mlb. Please.
