I wouldn't say he's racist but he loves starting class war. The entitlement issues this country have can be summed up by some of the shit he's tried to pass.

Ok, the guy has gotten a lot of his agenda passed. If you want to say he's accomplished a lot that way, then fine. He has.

That said, I do not, nor will ever, think his agenda is good for America.

And like was said earlier, if you are relying on a guy writing at a bi-monthly non-profit magazine to argue and articulate why you have been a effective President, then you have probably not been an effective President.

Class warfare is another loaded term that should really be applied from the top down, not the bottom up, as it seems to be by those throwing out that term. Corporate welfare is more of a problem than the so-called "Welfare Queen" that Reagan lied about. The disparity in wealth between the rich and poor will be a far greater issue than entitlement issues if left unchecked.

Besides, class warfare is hardly someone advocating a return of the tax code to pre-Bush days. Of course, it sounds pernicious to throw that out against Obama to make him sound more evil, which is absurd. It appears that the right wing only has slogans to understand Obama and they don't even really match reality. He's become an anti-American, Marxist, socialist racist and, strictly speaking, he's not any of them. Hell, we've got normally pretty intelligent people in this thread throwing out those lazy and moronic terms.

The smear campaign that started against Obama from before he even took seat in the Oval Office is among the worst in American history and has reached almost hysteria type levels.

Not necessarily, it just means that he's not as effective a communicator as a Reagan, whose policies were shit, but the masses bought them hook, line and sinker. People are dumb. Not everyone who is against Obama, of course. I'm not saying that. However, people don't necessarily understand the way things work and often vote on issues that are irrelevant, even against their own interests. The whole What's Wrong with Kansas? concept works here.

Obama may have shitty policies, but the fact that half the country is against him and a sizable portion of that group hates him for dumbass reasons, like thinking he's a Muslim terrorist, doesn't really lend me to believe that a lack of universal appeal means he's not an effective President.

See, I can accept this disagreement with my approval of Obama. It's not based upon some FoxNews-created hysteria or e-mail chain letter, but just saying the obvious "I think his policies won't work, but I also don't think he's the Anti-Christ". (I've actually had multiple people tell me this. Seriously.)

When you talk about spreading wealth around and the wealthy paying their fair share, that's class warfare. Not sure how else to classify it.

As for his accomplishments, he's spent gillions preventing a disaster that he predicted wouldn't be as bad as things are now that we took his preventative measures. He may not be in favor of high gas prices now, but that's only because he wants to be reelected. He's stated he wants higher priced gas. Then we've got him investing alternative energy programs that can't make it and encouraging Chevy to waste money on the Volt, which everyone else in America knew would fail.

As opposed to those sinister poor people holding America back?

No, not necessarily, but the disparity in wealth is CLEARLY the main problem in the economy.

And, the disaster hasn't been as bad because of his policies. So what if our gas prices are higher if it takes us off the teet of an non-renewable resource and pushes us into the direction of creating and innovation of alternative sources? God forbid no one drives those monstrosities of automobiles that people used to. Besides, gas prices have practically nothing to do with Obama as it is.

You say the disaster hasn't been as bad. Why?

I'm sure there was zero inititiative to find alternative fuel sources before gas prices went up. But hey, now that the economy is already in the crapper might as well make sure it stays there.

Gas prices dont have a whole lot to do with the Prez, but when there is a crisis I'd like for Obama not to have an advisor that has been searching for ways to get us to European prices.

At a rate far worse than we've gotten in the rebound from previous recessions.

God forbid people make money. There's usually a good reason for the disparity.

Who should make more money, the fry cook or the guy with a million invested in the restaurant?

Who should make more money, the guy digging the ditch or the guy buying the equipment?

People don't "deserve" to make great money sweeping floors or doing mindless labor. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people that can do it. It's not the people with money's fault skilled labor is dying because people are too lazy or believe they're too good to do it.

It doesn't matter how much money you give away, people will still [itch bay] about not having what their neighbors have. I don't understand why people don't realize this.

Everything is still worse off than Obsma predicted it would be had we done nothing. And unemployment still is bad.

I have some very liberal friends, and I can honestly say Unimane is the first one to argue Obama has been a good President. Even most of them have been disappointed.
