This can't be real, can it? I know some of the far right groups have lost their damn minds over Obama, but the governor, too? http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2015/05/02/403865824/texas-governor-deploys-national-guard-to-stave-off-obama-takeover
I just don't understand how people can believe this stuff, and I mean honestly believe it. My dad was (and probably is) convinced that Obama is a Muslim, was born in Kenya and is trying to sabotage the USA on purpose. He sits at his computer all day, with Fox News on in the background reading far right wing rhetoric on the internet. I believe that you can actually indoctrinate yourself doing this. The far left is no better with Eco-terrorists, 100 mpg carburetor suppressing oil companies, etc.
I'm not concerned (to an extent) with the loopy Alex Jones-types with a YouTube page and a conspiracy website, but I'm flabbergasted that a sitting governer would feed into this nonsense by sending in the state guard to monitor a military training. That's the part that blows my mind. I mean, a governor monitoring the U.S. military. Crazy.
It is a large training exercise covering many states in the southwest. Many are concerned; just Google or YouTube search "Jade Helm 15". http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/special-forces-training-fuels-conspiracy-theories-in-texas/
Well, at least we know it is easy to scare Texas. Even Iraq talked shit, but not Texas. Texas quivers.
Doesn't calling out the National Guard equate to talking shit?!? Preparing Soldiers to effectively go to War against fellow Americans hardly seems like quivering.
