Yes. We are in no position to sustain this 'guardian/designer of the world' role. Yes, it's great to help the weak and oppressed but we go beyond that in working to build a world in our own image. That's simply not feasible, nor is it often desired.

The biggest problem is, we aren't there to destroy the enemy. We have bird dogs following men of war around to make sure we are fighting within the rules of combat. We need to shit or get off the pot, destroy the enemy or let them run a muck.
this is where I am. Let's be clear to every nation on earth that might provoke us that should we require use of the guys in the green suits, we are no longer interested in ROE, or rules of any kind for that matter. We're coming to break enough stuff, people included, that the provocateurs understand not to provoke any more.
Seriously, what's the point of being the greatest military on earth if you handcuff them? I'm all for salting the earth if anyone provokes us.
